Pleasant Hill Baptist Church

is an old country church that has been around for decades. But as of April 3, 2016 we have a new pastor with a unique vision to bring about greater biblical unity at a time when our country is on the verge of a major economic collapse and is going through great turmoil. We will let our pastor share his vision for this church, but what won't change by the grace of God, is that we are still a church that loves the Lord, His word, His people, and all people. We desire to see people saved and God's people grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. We stand unapologetically on the timeless truths of the Bible that includes believing and proclaiming the biblical gospel without compromise. Please check out our website keeping in mind that it is new and will be a work in progress for a while. If you have any questions or need help finding us, please contact our pastor through one of the ways listed on our contact page. We hope you will come and see us soon.

While our address shows Bessemer, we are in the Oak Grove School District about 1 mile from the Warrior River Water Treatment Plant at the corner of Taylor's Ferry Road and Belcher's Ferry Toad, which is about 8 miles from Warrior river Road.

We have Sunday School at 10:00 am and worship services at 11:00 am and 6:00 pm. On Wednesday night we gather together at 6:00 pm for Bible Study or Prayer or both.

While our church is Baptist and voluntarily associates with the Southern Baptist Convention, we welcome Christians and seekers from all denominational and religious backgrounds. Our pastor believes that there can be much more Christian unity through the method of book/chapter/verse by verse preaching in the worship services. You can get more information about this by reading our pastor's articles. If they are not already on our website, please check back often.

Our pastor began preaching in the mid 1990's. He pastored 3 churches before our's over a 14 year period. He has been married to his one and only wife Nola since 1978, and they have 3 grown daughters and 4 grandchildren by their youngest daughter and son-in-law. Their son-in-law is also a baptist pastor. He is also the founder and director of the Fellowship of Concerned Christian Constitutional Patriots through the media arm Pester Brat Dot Com. They currently live in Fultondale Alabama and will be working towards moving closer to the church as the Lord provides. He and his wife were born in Washington DC and stayed in the metro area until 1997 when he began pastoring his first church in SE Florida. They moved to the Birmingham Alabama area in February 2008. Please pray for us as you have remembrance.
